Begins With Honesty

Physical--Body

Regular exercise: I love to swim, dance, rock climbing, do yoga or Pilates, hike, do fitness classes etc.

Quality sleep and restful or recreational activities: find the right temperature, white noise, massage therapy etc.

Hygiene and grooming: shower, wash your hands, shave, hair, nails, laundry, teeth, dishes, fridge etc.

Nutrition and hydration: I enjoy a variety of fruits and vegetables, dairy, whole grains, meat and water.

Mental--Mind

Train thoughts and emotions. Process triggers. Adjust beliefs. Use mindfulness, CBT and the daily practice.

If you feel stressed... Stop 🛑 take a break. Focus on the present for 10 minutes. Just breathe. Be mindful.

Check in with yourself. Listen to your inner child. Validate any triggers or painful memories. Let yourself grieve.

Use boundaries. Protect your peace. Focus on truth. Kindly stick to your values. Enforce boundaries and walk away.

Spiritual--Heart

Prayer, scripture study, meditate. Repent and  forgive daily. Worship with music, singing, dancing and temple.

God's word says that I am His child and I am loved. I meditate on His affirmations. All truth flows from Him.

All songs I write, all music I produce, every note I sing, each dance move is an act of worship for God my Father.

When I catch myself behaving inconsistently. I repent, forgive myself and return to God so that He can heal me.

Social--Accountability

Church community. Individual therapy, support groups, 12 step meetings and sponsor(s). Education and service.

Ordinance workers, self-reliance programs, CPTSD programs, group therapies, mental health classes etc.

Family historians, gatherings, close and intimate friends, pets, nature, medical teams, teachers and mentors etc.

Seek to establish friendships with those who have the same values as you. So you can help each other succeed.
